On May 29th from 7 to 9 pm, TGI Network is hosting our Family and Friends Group, which include basic information, Q & A, networking and more for family members and friends of transgender people. Moving forward, the group will meet at the same time and place on any month with a fifth Tuesday. Meetings will be held at One Empire Plaza, room 545, which is near bus lines and a variety of parking options. We plan to have at least two facilitators at each meeting to provide broader perspective.
Thereafter, the group will meet every month with a Fifth Tuesday plus a session at the Annual Trans Health Conference. The next Fifth Tuesday is July 31st.
Sign-in is required at the building’s entrance, but you can sign in under any name you choose. This is not to identify individuals in the building, but is to keep record of usage. Feel free to use an alias if it makes you feel safer. Also, since the building is public and can be busy, your presence will disclose nothing about where you are going or why you are there.
The group is for parents, siblings and families of trans people as well as immediate friends (not observers).
